Already after the first day of NHL playoffs and no surprise that there is tons of action and excitement happening. One of the most exciting games of the night was the very first one, the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Philadelphia Flyers. The game took place in Pittsburgh in the Consol Energy Center where the Penguins had the home advantage but unfortunately not the most luck.
The game started off well for the Pittsburgh Penguins as the Pens got up early on the Flyers 3 – 0 after the first period. Everyone was so surprised, not at the fact of the Penguins’ success but how the Flyers weren’t able to pick up until the second period. It was only then that the Flyers came back as Danny Briere scored one in the second and one in the third, along with the tying goal coming from Brayden Schenn to take the first game of the Playoff game into overtime. By this point the Penguins had dropped the ball as they allowed the Flyers to get back into the game and by then weren’t able to finish it in overtime as the Philadelphia Flyers took the first game of the series after Jakub Voracek scored.

Tonight, watch as the Ottawa Senators take on the New York Rangers, the Washington Capitals versus the Boston Bruins, San Jose Sharks play against the St. Louis Blues and the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Phoenix coyotes to start off their Stanley Cup series with each other.
